Please join us for a very special event on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at a Milwaukee treasure, the Lion House located at 1241 N Franklin Pl Milwaukee WI 53202 from 6 pm until 7:30 pm.

Honoring our President’s Award Sustainer of the Year, Cynthia Harris
We are delighted to announce that Cynthia Harris has been chosen as this year’s recipient of the President’s Award for Sustainer of the Year! Nominated by Julie Gilpin.
Cynthia’s involvement in the Junior League has certainly exemplified that over the past 40 years. She began as a Provisional in Denver, Colorado more than 40 years ago. The list of Cynthia’s involvement in our League is lengthy, but here are a few highlights.
She worked on the 80th Anniversary Celebration of the Junior League of Milwaukee, 25 years ago! She served on our various cookbook committees, from shipping to taste-testing. She was the Placement Advisor and then the Chair. She has served on Membership, Nominating, Fundraising, Chair of the Sustainer Committee, and Chair of the Sustainer Tea. The list goes on…
Outside the League, Cynthia has left footprints all over the community, including serving as the founder of IMPACT 100 GREATER Milwaukee – now celebrating its 10th year. Under her skilled leadership, Impact 100 – Greater Milwaukee has awarded over $3 million to 40 nonprofit organizations in our community.

Sustainer of the Year 2025
Volunteering at Kinship Community Center Farm!
Our members spent the morning working on the farm at Kinship Community Food Center which supplies fresh vegetables to members of the Milwaukee community.
Volunteering with the Hunger Task Force
Members helped to collect food donations for the Hunger Task Force at the Annual Rockabilly Chili event at the MSOE Kern Center.
Winter Wonderland
The Junior League of Milwaukee teamed up with Sojourner Family Peace Center and Kids Matter to host the annual Winter Wonderland party. Members donated gifts and volunteers helped with games, crafts and refreshments.
Holiday Luncheon
JLM members celebrated the holiday season at our annual holiday luncheon at the Milwaukee Country Club. We celebrated the anniversaries of JLM members and the Junior League singers performed as well. A great day to gather and celebrate the members of the Junior League of Milwaukee.
Girls on the Run 5K

Annual Fall Luncheon
In October, we hosted our annual Fall Luncheon with the theme of “Balance, Thrive and Be Well.” JLM member, Ruth McGuire, moderated a wonderful panel of speakers who each specialized in different areas of physical and mental well-being. Shopping and a successful raffle with Florence Eiseman Children’s Clothing graciously donating our grand prize.

We had a great evening celebrating the 2023-2024 league year at the Woman’s Club of Wisconsin! We recognized outstanding leaders and introduced the new Board of Directors for 2024-25. The evening included dinner, raffle and an awards presentation. We are ready and excited for the new year!

New member Class Blood Drive 2024
We held our annual blood drive in partnership with Versiti and Curative Care on April 20th. Our new members worked tirelessly to promote and execute the event, encouraging the warmer weather with our ‘beach day’ decorations! We had over 20 donations and continued our almost 80 year commitment to The Wisconsin Blood Center (Versiti) and Curative.

On Saturday, April 13, EVEREVE, Bayshore Mall donated 15% of sales to the Junior League of Milwaukee! It was a great day and we thank EVEREVE, Bayshore Mall for their support!

Thank you to Blu and the Pfister Hotel for hosting the Junior League of Milwaukee as guest bartenders. Blu donated tips and a portion of sales to the league. It was a great night and we appreciate the support!
Junior League of Milwaukee and Versiti Blood center
In 1947, the Junior League of Milwaukee recognized a need and founded the Blood Center which offered a place for the community to go to donate blood. Over seventy years later, the Blood Center is still an important part of the Milwaukee community, and today is called Versiti. Milwaukee Magazine recently featured Versiti and their work in Milwaukee.
Thank You to Bittercube
A huge thank you to Bittercube who hosted a cocktail class and donated the proceeds to the Junior League of Milwaukee. Guests learned to make and had the opportunity to taste new cocktails. Bittercube has been a great supporter of the league and we value their partnership.
Winter Wonderland
The Junior League of Milwaukee hosted a Winter Wonderland for kids from The Sojourner Family Peace Center and Kids Matter in December. There were games, crafts, snacks and a gift for each child. Winter Wonderland is a long standing tradition and a favorite member event.

The Fall Luncheon had a great turnout this year and we thank Faye’s of Mequon for providing an outstanding fashion show for the second year in a row.
